Position Overview

 

We are looking for an IT Documentation Centre Manager to manage our recently inaugurated tech hub in Limbe, Cameroon. SODEI Tech-hub provides IT products and services while creating an opportunity for young people to invest themselves into IT, and a platform for creative and innovative ideas.

 

The Role

 

  • Manage SODEI Tech Hub (work with management to create a plan of activities and budget for the facility).
  • Responsible for coordinating the events and activities carried out within the Tech Hub/co-working space.
  • Responsible for the SODEI co-working space. Ensures the maintenance, organization, safety, security, and proper usage of the co-working space.
  • In charge of all computers and I.T. equipment. That is, keep and update their inventory, be responsible for their going out and coming in, follow-up the hardware and software maintenance, ensure proper usage.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment, involving software, and systems.
  • Develops and coordinate IT training programs
  • Conduct graphic design, including the production of flyers, posters, banners, reports and other basic documentation
  • Responsible for the marketing of SODEI Tech services via social media channels, local radio and newspaper publications and partnerships with local institutions and businesses
  • Responsible for designing and producing documents, posters, flyers (Typing, Printing, Photocopying, Scanning. Etc.) and all paperwork within the facility.
  • Develop, organize, and coordinate I.T. training programs.
  • Produce, submit, and present reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Attend meetings and training when and wherever necessary.
  • Propose projects to help the documentation centre/co-working space of SODEI grow.

 

 

The Person

 

We are looking for the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

 

Profile

  • A self-starter who works independently and enjoys creating new initiatives
  • Sincere commitment to collaborate with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant professional qualification
  • At least two-years working experience managing an I.T documentation centre.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suites, Video/Photo editing tools like Adobe, Photos hope and illustrator

 

Skills

 

  • Possess good communication competency
  • Have good data entry skills
  • Have good reporting skills
  • Ability to promote & sustain Teamwork.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Commendable level of language proficiency (English-high & French-good).
  • Creative and innovative mindset
