The Head of Plantation leads Hevea Cameroun S.A. (Hevecam) agricultural department in Cameroon, reporting directly to the Hevecam Chief Executive Officer and a member of the executive committee.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all rubber replant, maintenance and tapping activities to ensure that the company meets production and quality targets
• Organization and management of transport of all crop to the factory
• Ensure implementation of the company’s sustainability policy
• Implement practices to optimize yield and cost of all field processes
• Develop and manage the programme to increase external rubber supply from smallholder farmers
• Develop and monitor the annual operating budget and provide regular reports on all KPIs to senior management
• Develop and manage the agricultural capital expenditure budget inline with the company’s long-term strategic goals
• Support Hevecam’s overall business strategy as a member of the Executive Committee

 

Requirements:

• An agricultural engineer or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years' experience in managing plantations
• Experience in multicultural environments is an asset
• A proven track record in managing large teams
• Autonomous with excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in French and English is recommended for internal and external communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• This role is based in Cameroon, Niete
