RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

Read technical diagrams and blueprints.

Perform general electrical maintenance, both preventative and breakdown.

Troubleshoot electrical issues using the appropriate testing devices.

Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

Good knowledge of various test equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of Elementary school plus four years of electricity study/training (the equivalent of CAP) in a technical, vocational school, or any accredited institution.

At least two years of Journeyman electrician work experience is required in a manufacturing environment.

High level of literacy and numeracy required.

Experience in packaging is preferred.

Possess strong attention to quality and detail.

A commitment to alerting the management team when safety, quality, or other production issues arise.

Willing and able to work long hours.

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Ability to lift and carry 20 KG regularly.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to high heat and humidity indoors
