POSITION TITLE: On-Call Destination Consultant

 

DEPARTMENT NAME: Relocation

 

REPORTS TO: Key Account & Regional Manager, Middle East

 

WORK LOCATION: Chad (N’Djamena)

 

POSITION PURPOSE

To support employees and their families who are moving to Africa (Chad) and to ensure their smooth transition into the new location by providing services including orientation, home finding, school search etc and making the assignee familiar with the local area, culture and customs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS

Sourcing suitable accommodation for the assignee and family within the budget and timescales agreed.

Ensuring that all properties viewed are on housing itineraries prepared by Move One's preferred real estate agent vendors.

Discussing and confirming that the services being delivered are within the agreed budget and scope of work contracted with the client. If there are any special needs or requirements confirm that these are within the authorized guidelines of the client.

Maintaining consistent contact with the assignee throughout the service;

Recording vital service related information in Move One's bespoke software system,viaRELO, daily by completing comments, statuses, time-tracker, costs, and other fields;

Uploading service-related documents to viaRELO including property offers, itineraries, lease agreements, termination notices, HOP documents, and others;

Providing clear and timely updates and service reports to any local Move One clients for whom they are providing services;

Immediately notifying their Destination Coordinator of any issues or challenges that may arise during a relocation service, documenting the issues/challenges in via RELO, and placing the service on alert;

Completing any client forms related to the service;

Completing any records or forms required to track their per diem work, including but not limited to, vehicle mileage, timesheets, expense reports;

Notifying their Destination Coordinator of any planned holidays that may impact availability for work.

Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.

Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

Other duties as reasonably assigned.

 

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Expert knowledge of the destination and the surrounding areas

Good foundation knowledge about expat living areas and the rental property market

Excellent English and preferably one other language

Service industry work experience is advantageous

Strong PC skills

Sophisticated manner (ability to relate to people, clients and staff, at all levels)

Passionate about Customer Service

Ability to communicate clearly and with confidence both verbally and in writing

Strong problem-solving skills

Time management skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Inquisitiveness and eagerness to continuously develop self-knowledge on the destination city

 

WORK REQUIREMENTS

Per Diem consultants are expected to use their own cars, to have a valid driving license, car registration and insurance (copies to be presented to Move One Relocations before the first job).

Car has to be clean and well-maintained during an engagement with Move One Relocations.

Per Diem consultants will not work with another Relocation company during their engagement with Move One Relocations.
