Plant Superintendent - South Africa

Leadership position opening for a highly motivated, self-driven Superintendent for a permanent position with a smaller mining company based on site in their mineral processing plant – which is in full operation. The position reports to the Metallurgical Manager and will be responsible for a team of around 180 rotational workers.

This is a forward-thinking team and you will have the ability to look at developing and implementing your own systems to ensure the targets are met to the best of your ability and break records!

Role & Experience: 

• Degree or Diploma (level 6) qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical or Processing Engineering or similar
• Proven track record in leading a processing function preferably at a Superintendent level or higher level for a large mineral processing plant including floatation & tailings processes. 
• A high level of personal discipline, motivation and drive, the ability to develop, inspire and lead successful shift teams.
• Operational planning and forward outlook with development of operational plans and procedures.
• Coordinate the operation and performance of the whole plant through Shift Supervisors
• Focus on productivity, quality, efficiency, health, environment and safety through effective resource planning and acquisition
• Maintenance coordination
• Safe management of the Metallurgical plant and TSF to ensure resources and raw material availability at all times.
