Production Supervisor

J&J Woods is a Timber exporting Company located in Douala, Cameroon. J&J Woods is seeking

to hire candidates with below qualifications as soon as possible to support growing business

operations.

Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Douala,

Gender: Male

Experience: 3-5 years

Industry: Wood Logs and Timber

Languages: French, English

Education: Diploma or University Graduate

Qualifications: Saw Mill Operations and Factory Supervisor

 

Daily Activities:

• work closely with outsourced saw mill partners

• receive the logs at the factory and ensure material storage location

• report inventory reularly

• explain our requirements to the saw mill supervisor and machine operators

• supervise day to day actiity of the saw mill plant to ensure requirements of production

schedule and quality control are met

• report daily and weekly progress to management in the form of pictures, production

status notes and schedule update

• identify opportunities to minimze wastage and communicate the same to plant supervisor

as well as company management

• ensure material storage requirements are met at all times

• work with export logistics coordinator to prepare packing list and pictures

Skills:

• Experience with Saw Mill machines and operations

• Good peoples skills in motivating operators and collaborating with partner plant

supervisors

• Good planning and organizing skills to ensure schedules are met

• Excellent negotialion skills to optimize costs and schedules

Ideal Candidate will have below qualities:

• motivated and self driving

• hands on

• fluent in both French and English

• experience in saw mill operations and timber exporting business

• good network of factory and saw mills

• familiar with industry regulations and documentation
