Responsibilities

THE QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL CONTRACTUAL SPECIFICATIONS, MANDATORY REGULATIONS AND QUALITY STANDARDS FOR DRILLING, CEMENTING & GRAVEL PACKING, COMPLETION, SLICKLINE, E-LINE, AND WELLHEAD & PRODUCTION EQUIPMENTS. S/HE IS INVOLVED IN QA/QC IN ALL OPERATIONS UP TO DELIVERY OF WELLS TO THE PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT.

• Provide tool criticality reviews.
• Ensure that certificates of inspections are available for all equipment to be used or run in-hole (drill pipes, OCTG, completion equipment, etc.).
• Liaise with contractors for equipment and material inspections. Ensure surveillance of contractors’ equipment according to *** requirements.
• Verify materials, equipment and systems through periodical checks, audits and inspections prior to shipment to the rig.
• Confirm that storage and handling of equipment and materials is safe and meet the requirements of the manufacturers or suppliers.
• Ensure that the Material Safety Data Sheet are reviewed and available for all materials delivered to rig. Highlight to rig crew potential risks associated with the use of materials.
• Review the contract pertaining to QA/QC aspects (drilling, completion, wireline, cementing and special operations).
• Ensure that equipment and materials delivered to the rig meet contractual and applicable industry standards.

 

OPERATIONS SUPPORT AND REPORTING

 

• Develop QA/QC check lists for equipment and materials.
• Keep records of the QA/QC data and report weekly *** Drilling superintendent.
• Assess/Optimize activities of contractors and service companies relative to QA/QC activities.
• Act as interface between Drilling department and contractors to identify, report and deal with technical issues related to QA/QC for equipment and materials.

 

Educational Requirements

• Engineering Graduate preferably in the Petroleum/Drilling field.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry in technical drilling, completion & well interventions jobs.
• Experience with equipment related to drilling and completion operations.
• Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, etc.), Factory Acceptance Test, System Integrity Testing.
• Good knowledge of inspection methods (Non-Destructive Testing, Magnetic Particle Inspection, pressure testing, function testing, etc.)
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in dealing with international contractors for offshore projects.
