Cameroon Oil Transportation Company (COTCO) is looking 

for qualified candidates for the position of:

Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Coordinator

Job Description:

• Responsible for coordinating field activities relating to Safety, Health, Emergency Preparedness and 

Response, Environmental Management and Regulatory Compliance.

• Coordinates field implementation of new ‘best practices’ relating to Safety, Health, Emergency 

Preparedness and Response, Environmental Management and Regulatory Compliance.

• Serves as a cold eye reviewer of the effective field implementation of the Operations Integrity 

Management System, provides input during the annual planning cycle (SHE plans and Safe Start processes); and updates relevant documentation integrating lessons learned from oil & gas industry and new technologies.

This is a field rotational assignment.

Ideal candidate profile:

The candidate must have a First degree in Science or Engineering discipline (BAC+3/4) or higher within relevant area.

Must be able to speak English and French, with the ability to communicate in English and French over the phone and via email. 

NEBOSH / OSHA diplomat is an added advantage

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Skills and attributes required:

Good risk management and problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing challenges

Ability to communicate and work with others at all organizational levels

Ability to work with limited supervision and a good self-starter

Willing to work on rotation at COTCO field sites and motivated to grow in the SHE function.
