The Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for Financial Reporting and will be the owner of the general ledger. He will also lead the development and implementation of an internal accounting control system. The Senior Accountant will work with the CFO to ensure that, all Stakeholder of the company, such as the board of directors and management, always have an overview of the company’s financial situation and help the growth and the transition of the company to a leader in the digital financial sector.  The main duties and responsibilities for this role include: Manage Financial Reporting Prepare budget forecasts Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings Prepare Management Accounts Reconcile accounts payable (AP) and receivable (AR) Ensure timely bank/mobile wallet reconciliations Audit financial transactions and documents Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary Comply with financial policies and regulations Target Timely monthly/quarterly/yearly closing Timely daily/monthly bank and mobile wallet reconciliation Timely management reports Weekly Cash Flow reports Monthly updated AR/AP reports Timely payment of salaries as per salary calendar Requirements  Qualifications and Experience At least 5 years work experience as an Accountant in the CEMAC Region BSc in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant degree Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills Additional Professional Certification will be a plus Advanced understanding of OHADA Skills Excellent command of English & French Language: Reading, Writing, Speaking Resilience Organizational talent Reliability Communication skills Benefits  We are offering you an exciting and promising opportunity in a growing market with interesting benefits and career opportunities.  Competitive salary Fast paced and dynamic environment, where you can make an impact Opportunity to work with leading technologies Growing global organization with a highly entrepreneurial spirit Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible  Closing Date: 15 March 2022  Apply here: contact@maviance.com
