The Opportunity

IHS Towers is seeking a dynamic Specialist, Commercial Analyst to join our growing team in Cameroon! As a Specialist, you will report to the Commercial Director and will be responsible for preparing analysis and financial modeling to support business cases/commercial proposals to customers. The management team will rely on your analysis to take key investment decisions and increase shareholder value.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare financial modelling and analysis to support commercial proposals and investment decisions
• Provide viable options and business case scenarios when presented with ad-hoc requests from customers
• Collaborate with the Technical team to obtain key inputs to prepare business cases as necessary
• Assume a key role in any negotiations with customers to ensure the company secures a financially viable deal in line with our strategic objectives
• Utilize the Delegation of Authority (DoA) template to prepare commercial offers for approval by Country CEO and Group Commercial
• Liase with the Group Commercial Team for reviews of commercial offers and alignment with IHS Group KPIs
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to streamline and improve the preparation and monitoring of performance (post performance)
• Performing analysis to help management make informed business decisions
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as maybe required by the Commercial Director
• Perform revenue assurance duties across all revenue streams, identify areas of improvement and coordinate with the Finance team to propose enhancements to the billing function as necessary

Your Skills and Experience

• CFA certification preferred
• Strong Business Acumen
• Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Accounting
• Very advanced excel and financial modelling skills: sensitivity analysis, look up tables, comparison analysis, DCF and returns analysis, tables and graph analysis and interpretation
• Excellent communication skills, in oral and business writing
• Excellent MS Power Point presentation skills: preparing sound presentations and delivering to executive committee & clients
• Experience in contract structure, interpretation and negotiation (lead role in this not expected)
• Fluent in English and conversational French
• 3 to 5 years in a role linked to business planning, business analysis and/or financial statements preparation (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow), DCF and returns analysis, tables and graph analysis and interpretation
