Area Sales Supervisor

Job purpose :

The Area Sales Supervisor is responsible for driving sales of the bank’s retail products (as approved) and ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales count and volumes through area business development, planning, deployment and management of sales personnel (Direct Sales Agents). The ASM also identifies market opportunities, drives strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales / earnings.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Reviewing the daily activities report of the Direct Sales Executives. FINCON should be notified of any exceptions.
  • Assessing daily and monthly performance of DSAs.
  • Supervising the activities of Direct Sales Executives posted to their regions.
  • Assessing the value and relevance of retail products to customers and non-customers of the Bank
  • Setting business direction and objectives for the Direct Sales Executives Assessing DSEs activities monthly to determine the performance level
  • Completing monthly manning update for DSEs on the 15thof every month and forwarding same to the Group Head, Direct Sales

  • Working closely with Cluster Control and Compliance units to ensure that products are sold by DSEs in line with the bank’s policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures that new sales comply with AML, KYC regulations

Qualification required:

  • First degree in any field (a Professional qualification in Banking or Accountancy)

Experience required:

  • Marketing, Sales, Relationship Management and Communication

  • Attainment of annual target (Deposit)
  • Market share, customer acquisition and retention through new and improved offerings
  • Timely reporting of sales figures
  • Timeliness & effectiveness in completion of assigned tasks 
  • Efficiency at executing scheduled and adhoc assignments
